What is CDN and what does it mean to me?
Improving page load times without caching on the webpage.
Otherwise known as Content Delivery Networks, a CDN's primary purpose is to improve the load times of pages. It accomplishes this by creating more points of presence or PoPs scattered over several different locations on the globe. By doing so, it reduces the physical distance that the data needs to travel when a customer loads the webpage. When the physical distance is reduced, the time it takes for a page to load is also shortened.
